Microsoft Excel workbook

Hey, I don’t know exactly what language it would actually take to program what I’m looking for so I decided to start here and hopefully get referred to the right language.

I was wondering if its possible that I create a page on a website that has password login as the main page and when logged in I could access Microsoft Excel workbook. I am doing this for some information I need to enter and update from any computer that has internet access. Is this possible? if so what language would it take? Are there already and pre-built codes for this?

@KDLAFeb 13.2008 — If you're talking about sharing a resource through the internet, I suggest you look into open source Wikis, although I'm not sure you can replicate an Excel workbook without customized form coding. You probably need a web application tied to a database for that.
