IE ActiveX warning message box

I am using a scripting file system object to read a text file on the users HDD. I am adding this script to every page load with turnabout (a greasemonkey for ie project), so I don’t want this message box to appear every page load.

Does anyone know a way I could fix this? I know there is a registry edit I can do, but this is being rolled out on 700 PCs and I doubt the network admin is going to like editing the registry on the image for all of these PCs. So apart from a registry edit that isn’t going to happen, are there any other options?

@cgishackFeb 08.2008 — its a setting in the browser.

You can not change that using JavaScript.

See if you can fix it under IE's TOOLS-> Internet Options ->Security ( Custom....)

@cgishackFeb 08.2008 — does the message also come up when you access the page locally (localhost) or on an intrAnet?

I know there are different settings for each zone... make sure you are modifying the correct 'zone'

@altyauthorFeb 08.2008 — The error message comes up for both localhost and on the intranet (this is a purely internal project, so not on the internet). What is the specific setting I have to enable? I can change it so it applies to the intranet.

@cgishackFeb 08.2008 — Is there an 'error message' or just a warning to the user ?

@cgishackFeb 08.2008 — There is a whole ActiveX section you can mess with.. see attachment

Also note that they take effect after IE has been restarted..

Yes / No

I found the setting, "Initilize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting."

Problem now is this is probably a setting I won't be able to change in the image. Possible work around? How do I unmark it (probably not possible), is there a way for a browser to always trust one specific control?
