ok. so i have a plain form that sends some variables to a php script that generates an xml file after it does a search. the same php script processes data passed over to it by an ajax request. the important thing to mention here is that some of the fields may pass names of latin american countries that have accents. like México. ok. so when the data is passed directly to the script in the browser everything works fine and as expected. but when the variables are passed via POST over an ajax request and one of the variables has an accent the search doesn’t work. the script has a utf-8 encoding. tried iso-8859-1 too. whats different between both POST requests?! if they both send data to the same file? with the same encoding?
i’m out of ideas…
thanks…
