CURL in a neverending script and DNS changes

Hi

I have a script that is checking several webpages to see if they are up and responding properly. It’s launched (windows php command line) and a loop has been made to check the pages over and over again, meaning the script never ends. I’m using CURL to check the pages. Everything is working good.

Yesterday we made a DNS change on one of the domains (new IP), but the script did not “detect” the change until it was restarted, it seemed to still be using the old IP (The pages are checked using domain name and not ip).

Is this something PHP/Curl does, reading dns-records and not reloading them in between each curl or something? I am closing each curl session using curl_close….

Thanks
Lubox
