Error (undefined) while trying to access form element attributes.

I have multiple html elements. (I just used an example of checkbox here)
Each has an atribute called row.

I am able to refer the attribute “row” in Internet explorer using formfield.row
function reset(formField) {
row = formField.row;
}

However, the same code “formField.row” does not work in firefox.
Getting an error “row is undefined” in firefox.
How do refer it in Firefox using javascript.

<form name=”mainForm” action=”#” method=”post”>
<input type=”checkbox” row=”1″ name=”Approve1″ value=”1″ onClick=”reset(this)”>
<input type=”checkbox” row=”1″ name=”Approve1″ value=”2″ onClick=”reset(this)”>
<input type=”checkbox” row=”2″ name=”Approve2″ value=”1″ onClick=”reset(this)”>
<input type=”checkbox” row=”2″ name=”Approve2″ value=”2″ onClick=”reset(this)”>
</form>

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

@cgishackJan 09.2008 — Its a custom tag name, you have to get it a different way.

<i>
</i>function reset(formField) {
var row = formField.getAttribute("row");
}
