@drhowarddrfineDec 31.2007 — All newly created web pages should use a strict doctype. There is some controversy over whether it should be XHTML or HTML but, in any case, the strict version should be used. What you are creating makes no differences in the selection of a doctype. It is used to tell the browser the definition of the "types" used in the making of your web page, that is, the elements and attributes.
