Logout and close window -in frames

Hi,

I have a page divided into a frames…

In the left we have the links,top banner is a frame…
and in the right side..we have the contents…

When the user clicks on the left side lin – Logout…

I want to prompt the user

1 window – whether he wants to logoff

2- wants to close the window…

if he says yes..close the window…

But what happens …is the first popup occurs

and part of the screen related to left navigation becomes blank..
then when the user is given the popup..close the window…

and he clicks yes…,the window closes..

I tried with only one popup..close the window..and the same problem of left nav screen becomes blank..when popu comes on screen…persists..
