Problem with preload

Can anyone tell me why the preload on this page [url]http://www.stjepansvaljek.com/contact.aspx[/url] doesn’t work as intended?

Does the standard image1=new Image(); preload works with .png files?

There is one preload for header buttons(home,gallery,contact) and one for the corner images on the “tblContact” table.
