Ajax fading question

Hey everybody,

Im starting a new project, that is going to be forcing me to learn alot of ajax, when i know very little. One thing that i really haven’t been able to find anything about is this fading effect.

I’ve seen it a few places but i can’t remmeber, so if you know what I’m talking about feel free to post a link.

basicly when the user clicks on the login button, a white transparent layer will fade in over the entire browser, and display the login/signup form.

i really dont know where to start on this so any help is greatly appriciated!

@gpm1982Nov 20.2007 — I would suggest you look up prototype-js (http://prototypejs.org) and scriptaculous (http://script.aculo.us).

Both of them, when combined, provides powerful functions for AJAX and also some great effects. Make sure you look for the demo in scriptaculous to have an idea on the effects available for scriptaculous.
