Aligning graphic in with layers in Dreamweaver

Here’s my issue. I created a complete website in a WYSIWYG editing package. During creation, the software has default edit points within the header where the banner goes. This template only allows for text. No graphics.

Upon completion, I opened the index page in Dreamweaver to add a layer and drop a graphic in. Everything looks fine but when I scale the window the layer stays as the rest of the CSS scales, therefore throwing the graphic all out of whack with the rest of the page.

I’ve tried modify > Align. I’ve tried anchoring. I’ve tried dropping the graphic in with no layer. That just makes about 20 more CSS boxes.

Please help. Thanks

@CentauriNov 18.2007 — That is the biggest problem creating a website in WYSIWYG mode - you don't have control over the code. There is no such thing in html as "layers" - that is Dreamweaver-speak for an absolutely-positioned div, and absolute positioning is what causes the problems. The best way of doing it would be to actually have text in the header, and style that text via the css to display the graphic as a background image to the text box whilst hiding the text from view.

Without seeing the page or full page coding and the graphic required, it would be difficult to give a more precise solution. The best way is to definitely learn html & css coding, and work mainly in Dreamweaver's code view.
