Newbee: Where do I find JS library on net?

Hi all, am a newbee to Java Script!
I real dumb question……
Where can I find the entire Java Script library with all built in functions and properties? I have tried to Gooogle but havn’t found the reference library.
Second of all where do I find what parts for instance Firefox supports. Like propery window.defaultStatus=”Text” or window.status=”Text” does not change the statustext in Firefox but it does in IE. Where can I find the solution to that on how to change statustext in Firefox??

@TJ111Nov 16.2007 — Firefox has a setting in the options that enables or disables the ability for javascript to change the status bar text. I believe this is disabled by default.

As for a reference, W3Schools has a good [url=http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/default.asp]Javascript Reference[/url]. A javascript "library" refers to the javascript codebases/abstraction layers a lot of developers use to get rid of some of the bugs and quirks javascript has as well as add extra functionality.
