Forms That Total

Does Anyone KNow Of a javascript that would take would take a static number in a form and then multiply it by a number that the user selects in a drop down menu. Then keep a running total of the amounts and give a grand total at the end.

Like I mean say the form had this

Item Cubic Feet Quantity Subtotal
Desk

Clock

Bed

total

Where as Item would be a static item, and Cubic Feet would have a static number representing cubic feet, Quantity would be a drop down box with a user selectable variable from 1 to 10. The subtotal would be the resulting amount from the static value in cubic feet being multiplied by the user selected value in quantity. Resulting in the amount being displayed in the subtotal column, then the total area at the bottom would take all the subtotals and add them up giving a grand total for the form.

@Khalid_AliSep 02.2003 — instead of asking for a complete solution, ask for a particular solution for a problem you faced while coding the above script.

@pk2000authorSep 02.2003 — Yes, I agree my problem is quite large, and I am seeking a solution to it because Im not a coder and have no idea of how to code. I was sorta hoping that maybe someone knew or had access to a free sample code that I could work from.
