Hi. I’m trying to open an html file from an external domain to query information from it (to be exact, the number of search results for a user-defined query). I am currently using an ajax script from jsquery_dot_com, but it can not load html from an external domain, so I have a one-line php page that loads the external site and returns it. The problem is, that it eats up my bandwidth.
Of course, I could use hidden iframes, but then the page would load all the images/sounds/scripts/etc from the target page, so my old method is still better than this.
Does anyone know a pure javascript-way to do this 100% client-side?
Thanks in advance.
