My company has a website for various countries.
The URLs are like this:
[url]www.dom.com/jp/
[url]www.dom.com/global/us/
[url]www.dom.com/global/uk/
[url]www.dom.com/global/eu/
[url]www.dom.com/global/fr/
[url]www.dom.com/global/de/
As you can see all the non japanese sites are in the ‘global’ directory. These are the sites that I make. I only have access to the ‘global’ directory on the server, thats why the URLs look like this.
Questions:
1) If I remove the ‘global’ from the URL, will it do better for SEO?
2) Is it possible for me to remove ‘global’ using htaccess, baring in mind I dont have access to the root directory? It may be possible to arrange some access to root providing it doesnt disrupt the japan site.
