Trying to Build My First Website

Hi all, first off, I have to admit, I am 100% a newbie when it comes to building a website. I have tried to start, but with so much to learn, I just get frustrated and quit.

I find I work better (in real life) with step by step instructions, so I am going to go out on a limb and ask for some serious help.

I am wondering if anyone could give me like a step by step rundown of how a newbie could create and publish his first website. Like 10 “simple” steps or something.

Sorry for the newbie request, but hope some of you can help me.
