Form submission service

I am a graphic designer at a company which has also had me develop static web pages. For the first time I have to develop a form in which a customer sends contact info and that info is e-mailed to the appropriate person within our company. I’m interested in purchasing one of the services which handles the form submission and processes the information for you. (Example: [URL=”http://www.freedback.com”]freedback.com[/URL]) Does anyone know of a good service?

Requirements:
–An HTML form has already been developed, so service should accept forms that are not made with their online applications

–Simple to set up

–Secure transmission of personal contact info (customer names, phone, FAX, address–but NOT anything like SSN).

@Compguy_PeteOct 23.2007 — even in a "static web page" you can use PHP or another method. I would look for scripts in either of the 2 systems.

  • 1. cgi - oldschool solution but wont go out of style :-)

  • 2. php - with a little reading this solution can take all of a few minutes to setup.


    • I cant think of any services that are still in use today that I would recommend. Most sites add to much additional baggage to make them worth using a hosted service.

    My last suggestion... Contact the sites hosting support and ask them what they recommend you use. Most hosts will not limit your choice however most will thank you for asking as the wrong script could cause unneeded server load. (I've used this as a standard answer in the past with great results).
