I know this isn’t exactly js but I found a web page that changes the IE title bar icon. I figured since I see the question a lot and never the answer ill share what I have found and maybe further research will present a solution. Its a work web page so I can post the direct source. Basically the page is lauunched via vbs. The page the vbs loads is a form with a js script and an object tag with a class I’d and a cab as the data value. It appears to be the cab changing the icon. When the cab is ripped open I see it is an ocx a dll and a inf file. The inf file appears to hook the ocx and dll file as well as register the classid into the windows reg temporarly. Once its reged the ocx and dll change the icon. Now. I have tested multiple times and see it is temp because if I have the ie window with the dif title bar icon open and open the same ie page again the first ones icon changes back to ie icon and the new page has the custom icon. I have decompiled the ocx and dll and see nothing ref this custom image though. If anyone has any idea exactly how this is being done I’d love to hear
