General Error JSP Tomcat Apache

I am just starting to delv into JSP today. I have installed Apache that works for all other domains. I have one domain I am testing running jsp on using Tomcat and ModJK. I have dun as much as take out all the Java code in the JSP page it is supposed to serve and I still get this bogus general error message:

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Error Message:The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there was an error in a CGI script.

I have removed all the java code snippets from the page making it a perfect HTML page with a .jsp extention. Still gives the error, without logs saying a word. But it only does it on the domain requesting the JSP be compiled. All others on this server are fine. Apache also rejected the JkShmFile line, but I think that defaults ok right bc I left it out? Or does anyone know what program out of the three or four running is spitting this message out. That would help alot too. It is just plain black text on a white bg. Thx everyone.

@Paradox602Sep 20.2007 — Hi,

I'm learning JSP too and recently installed it on my server a couple of months ago. I got a similar error because my configurations were wrong, not because of anything the jsp is doing. Are you using the default snoop.jsp file?

Success!
