Hi Guys,

Great site by the way…lots of useful stuff.

I’m having a dilemma. I’ve built a web page that is hosted on the company intranet that accesses an access datasource stored on a public shared drive (not ideal i know but the only option available)

The page works fine in validating the one field im concerned with against the DB but once live and tested i get the message:

“this page is accessing a datasource on another domain”

I am aware of how to turn this alerting off manually under IE’s browser options but many users will be accessing this page so I need something to automatically surpress this (if possible)

Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

@Angry_Black_ManSep 18.2007 — there is nothing i know of that would prevent the error from occuring aside from fixing the problem directly, or the solution you noted. the only solution in your case will be to place the database on the web server in question and create an ODBC connection and update your connection strings as applicable.
