offsetTop help

Hi
I need to know the Y position of the top of a button.

I tried using offsetTop and this worked if page is scrolled
right to the top (140px).
If the page is scrolled down a bit though the offsetTop is still
140px.

So i need to find position of button relative to screen

Any ideas ?
