dynamic content syndication by parsing .js?

Hello,

what are the arguments agains getting content distributed by parsing a .js which is included from remote hosts?

It shall be part of a content-syndication script which shall be included to websites without server side scripting (no SSI, no PHP, no ASP) to fetch our code.

Currently an iframe is used but hassle to resize it in order to fit the height of the actual content of the iframe do make it an unattractive way. (…a cross domain scripting issue)

As almost last resort I could parse the .js-file which is located on my server using php and put the foreign content straight into the javascript.

So far, the only argument that comes to my mind is that .js is not made for that ?
