Transfereing info from a page to a pop up window

Ok let me try this another way since no one could help me the way I posted it before.

I was given the JS I have and told to modify it as I needed and I did that part. But sadly the person that gave it to me has vanished and can’t help me do more.

I have a page I’m working on([URL=http://www.angelfire.com/d20/eeyore/monster_maker.html]found here[/URL]) where someone enters information on it and the info is tranfered after a few calculations to another page. I know how to alter the exsisting js to make it look like I want but I’m not sure how to add new fields and make that info go to the pop up.

I’ll break it down even more. I want to add a text field to the first page so people can type into it and that text will go to the right point on the page.

Think of it like this. One page one there needs to be a text field for Name:[ ]. On the pop up window there is Name: and I want the name from the feild on page one to go there. Can anyone help me?

@eeyoreauthorNov 25.2002 — Ok I see the code you added and it looks easy enough. That means I'll be back in about an hour asking what I'm doing wrong. :p

Thanks so much for the help. The next part I plan to work on is the pull down menu for the alignments. I'm sure I'll be asking for help with that too.

Ok I put the new file in place and it works great. I also saw what was done and have started trying to add new lines myself with some good success.

I have two new goals that are really more HTML based but will have some js stuff involved.

The first is I would like to increase the number of characters I can type in the name field. I can't figure out how to do that yet. I'll have to break out the html books unles this is a java script thing which I don't think it is.

Also I wish to add some text fields with bigger spaces for typing out longer bits of info. This is an HTML thing I know and I'm not asking for help just updating anyone interested in what I'm doing.

Oh I did add that pull down menu I was talking about and it work just fine. ?
