Firebug question

I had recently installed Firebug and I loved it! But then I had to wipe my hard drive, and when I reinstalled it it looks totally different now. Before I had tools across the top menu and now it opens a box on the bottom of the page. I don’t like the way it’s working now. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and do you know how I can get the old version back?

@ray326Sep 03.2007 — Are you sure you're not remembering the Web Developers' Extension? I don't remember Firebug ever displaying anything at the top of the window but I'm old and senile.
