delay displaying div contents?

Hi Guys, first post here! woo!

Ok, heres the problem.
I have built a site in asp and flash, with some parts that fade in etc.

what the client wants is for the text that is situated below the flash title bar to appear after the flash has done its thing (about 1 sec)

now the text is in a <DIV>, and is loaded from a database on page load.

so what i need to do is somehow delay the displaying of the div contents for say 1 sec. the only way i can think is to load nothing into the div for a start and then maybe with javascript write the contents?

any ideas/code greatly appreciated thanks!
