Finding fonts with Javascript

Hi guys,

I’m trying to make something which allows you to edit the font on a webpage.
What I’d like to do is to choose from a drop down menu the font I’d like to use.

Is there a way of finding the fonts which a certain user has on the PC they’re using and bringing them into the drop down menu so that they can use a particular font they like?

Thank you,

G

Thanks for your reply,

Ok then, is it possible to get those fonts located in the browser's font options to appear in a drop down menu which i have in a form?

So in a way 'stealing' them from the options rather than making the user go into the options and change the font.

Thanks,

G
