phpmyadmin errors

Hello all,
i’ve just installed phpMyAdmin locally and i’m getting this error:
Your PHP MySQL library version 5.0.37 differs from your MySQL server version 3.23.32. This may cause unpredictable behavior.
but i’m running MySQL Version 5.0:
Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or g.
Your MySQL connection id is 17
Server version: 5.0.41-community-nt MySQL Community Edition (GPL)
the program is acting weird so i don’t know if it is a result of the above or if it’s just not configured properly yet. when i first load it up i get a bunch of cannot modify headers errors, then i refresh and get cannot display page(s), then i refresh again and everything loads but the left navigation, refresh AGAIN, and everything loads.

any ideas? thanks!

@kreddauthorAug 23.2007 — phpmyadmin keeps acting erratic. i was able to create a table but got a 'page cannot be displayed' error so i refreshed and got the main page but no left hand side navigation. every the connects or breaks randomly...are there any known conflicts with IIS or something? i've been searching the internet for about 5 hours now and can't find any info!
