I have recently been doing some research about different programming platforms and language solutions for making web applications, and have found the new Microsoft Silverlight toolset for VS. I have browsed around on the Silverlight site and looked at some samples and tutorial videos and have found it to be a quite an impressive piece of software.
Now I just wanted to see what others out there think of this thing. Of course, it is Microsoft… That already sets it apart from most toolsets / languages talked about on this forum. But still, objectively, if any of you have any experience with Silverlight, what do you think? Is it reliable? Is it as cross-browser compatible as Microsoft says it is? Is it not too resource-intensive on the client side?
