penalty for pages deep in the directory listing

I have my site running fairly deep in the directory listing:

www.domain.com/international/us/page.html
www.domain.com/international/us/dir1/page.html
www.domain.com/international/de/page.html
www.domain.com/international/de/dir3/page.html
etc.

Am I likely to be penalized by the search engines for this as opposed to listing as so:

www.domain.com/us/page.html
or
www.domain-us.com/page.html
