Run PHP site on different server’s?

Hi,

I no this question is very vague but I am just asking you to answer this as best as you can. (No technical details needed)

I have a website based on PHP-Nuke content management system which allows independent artist to submit there music and we will market it and allow people to stream the music. The problem is that the music streaming is very intensive work for the server. Especially as people are streaming the music world wide.

So my question is, is it possible to share the load some how on dedicated server world wide in data centre’s? Or routing site visitors to server’s closest to them or just in there country?

Thanks

Ollie

@ellisglAug 07.2007 — Look up load balancing, grid and cluster serving. Also Round Robin DNS.

You could have a main server that can do a header redirect based on Geo IP stuff.
