How do I send file with ajax?

Hello

How do I do it?

Until now I add all the form fields to string and send it with AJAX, but it is not possible with files, how do I do it?

@DetectJul 31.2007 — Usually, AJAX is paired with some server side scripting lang (ie. PERL, PHP) to support showing the progress of the file upload. It is not easy to write from scratch. Google around for a script to help on the backend. Prototype might help on the front end with it's PeriodicalUpdater.
