[RESOLVED] Option Change

At the moment my script executes a function which works out something and then shows it to the browser everytime the user “blurs” the text field or drop down list.

Once someone puts in the value in the input box they then pick a option from the drop down box… it doesn’t update because the user has to click off the drop down box which isn’t very helpful to me because people may think it isn’t work as it doesnt update when they pick a new option.

Is there a way of running the function when the user picks a new option WITHOUT them having to click off the drop down list?

I tried onchange but that didn’t work.

Thanks in advance

@LeeUJul 13.2007 — Can you post the code or a link to it?

@MunceyauthorJul 13.2007 — I PMed you the code. As you can see the function runs when the person clicks off of the input/drop down. I need it to run when the drop down is changed but without the user having to click off of the drop down.

Sorry the option changes with "onchange" i didnt update it properly.

But when try "onchange" for the text it doesnt update...

@KorJul 13.2007 — Don't PM the codes, please... You might have more chances to find a solution if bring it here, into the plain Forum. If it is a big one, attach it. Or give us a link to a server test page. Or better show us the significant part of it which you think woun't work...

I am glad to hear that. But, please, keep in mind that this Forum (and others like that) are meant to help anyone who could encounter the same problem as yours (same as you needed some help, and you might need it in the future). So that, please, next time, post your problem here along with the solution. Someone might need a help on a similar issue, and he could find quickly a solution online...
