jpg pictures on html web page

I am relatively new at web pages. I have created and maintained a couple of them over the last few years using Frontpage and just basic html. I have just created a new one to use for selling my home “by owner”. I have a web host and domain name. My problem is when I click on the button to go to my page with the pictures on it, the thumbnails come up fine. When I click on two of the pictures, they change to full screen like they are supposed to. None of the other 14 pictures will change. Instead I get the “page not found” error. Usually this means that something is not right in the picture name, extension, html code or something. I have even tried substituting the name of the picture that did not work into the line for the picture that did work and still no go. I think the problem may actually be in the picture properties. The page works fine on my PC but when I try it on line it does not work. If I could get some of you to look at it you will probably find some simple error that I have somehow overlooked. I think it may have something to do with the fact that the size of the pictures are different even though I edited and save them all the same in Photo Shop.Here is the link to my page:

Thanks for looking!

@TheBearMayJul 11.2007 — Problem is capitalization. You're looking for:

@GreasygruntauthorJul 11.2007 — I changed them all from JPG to jpg to see if that would work. It didn't help. I will change them all back to JPG as you have suggested and try it again. I know it is something very simple because it only takes one small error to keep it from working. Thanks for the prompt reply. I will let you know how it goes.

@GreasygruntauthorJul 11.2007 — I went back and changed them all to JPG and the only two that didn't work were the two that did work before. I went back in and changed them to jpg and now they all work. You are a genious! Thank you much.

@gizmoJul 11.2007 — I am guessing that your computer uses Windows which ignores case, but the server uses Linux or Unix which is case sensitive, hence the above effect.

@GreasygruntauthorJul 11.2007 — With the help of TheBearMay I was able to get the pictures to work. I then sent the page out to several friends to put it to the test. The biggest problem encountered was when they clicked on the picture to enlarge it, the picture was so large they had to scroll to see all of it. I have a 19" LCD monitor and my wife has a 17" CRT and both of us could see the entire picture when it was enlarged. Any ideas of how to make the picture only appear "full screen" on any PC or monitor? Thanks.

@tracknutJul 11.2007 — These pictures are 1800x1200, I find it hard to believe your wife's 17" monitor is set to that high of a resolution. The typical answer here is to pick a resolution that will reasonably fit on most screens, and scale your photos to that size at largest. I'd suggest that photos 800x533 in this case might be a good solution. You're not going to get the photos to arbitrarily size themselves to the window size of any user - at least not without a ton of work.

@GreasygruntauthorJul 12.2007 — I have had a couple of friends who looked at the site tell me this in some form or another. Thank you for taking the time to respond. It makes sense that smaller pictures would be better to work with since many people still have dial up. Thanks again.
