javascript function submit in iframe

I have Iframe in my jsp page.

If any submit button is cklicked in jsp page inside iframe ,form is submitted and refereshed .

but if i clicked a any hyper link and called below function in “onclick”
i get error at submit() function.
how to submit the form in iframe ,by javascript function.
so that my page inside iframe gets refereshed

function fnChange(varAction){
alert(“fnChange – “+varAction);
if(varAction==’shop_change’){
document.formEdit.method=”post”;
document.formEdit.target = “_new”;
document.formEdit.submit();
