OnClick event is ignored at the first instance

Hi all,

I have bug related to onclick event in Javascript.
Web page represents a tree structure with set of collapsible and expandable elements. this page fails to recognize onclick event when clicked on expand element for the first time, this is only for the element which does not have child elements and works fine with other elements.

I am having hard time to fix the bug. Kindly help me in this regard.
