Hello,

I need to hide a long list of news, letting just some lines to appear inside a window with a vertical scroll bar, so visitors may see all the list if they want. Here is the link to the page I’m talking about: [url]http://www.popa.com.br/index-teste.htm[/url].

@ray326Jun 21.2007 — I guess you want to scroll the table. Give it's wrapping div a height and overflow:auto.

@adamclementJun 21.2007 — dreamweaver adds lots of unnessecary (can't spell) code to your pages, and to be honest its been so long since i used it i can't remember how to set div properties. View source of page (open it in notepad) and post what is there and i'll ammend it for you.

What I want is "to shrink" vertically the central column, adding a vertical scrollbar to it.

@adamclementJun 21.2007 — tables are set to ignore any height restrictions, if the content is bigger than the size given...

so you need to redo that center bit so that it is wrapped in a div

(and stop using dreamweaver and learn html&css...it won't take you long and your sites will be 500% better) load mine and 'view source' and compare with yours for tidyness. my site is http://auction.static-media.com
