Problems when convert .htm files to .php files, please help!!!

I will be really really appreciate your answers if you can help me to find out why I have these errors:
I have website [url]www.versailleslife.com[/url] previously written in .htm . Last weekend I converted all htm pages to .php pages. However, search engines only recognize .htm pages, so it gives me an errors page like this. I don’t know how to solve this problem. Do I have to call search engine to find out or I have to wait for 72 hours to clear the catch? I do need your help, please.

@scragarJun 07.2007 — add this to the bottom of your htaccess file if you have one:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^(.*).html $1.php
if you already have the "RewriteEngine on" section then do without.
