javascript code not working!!!!!

Well I am a real novice when it comes to javascript, i am having a strange problem, what ever code i am writing for javascript is not showing in my browser, although any javascript code from net is loading and working fine, i ve checked the settings for browser(javascript is enabled) and i ‘ve tried all the famous browsers (IE6, Mozilla firefox and opera).
any help wud be highly appreciated.

If the script works elsewhere on the net, but not your copied version, then it's probably in the set-up of your script.

Helping to solve this problem without the code, for me, is like trying to give a haircut through the mail.

browser is displaying a button but no alert window is poping as it should for this code.

@JMRKERJun 06.2007 — Works fine in FireFox and Safari on a iMac.

Nothing wrong with supplied script.

Suggestions:

1. Try another users computer to assure yourself you are not crazy.

If it works, look at browser settings and replicate on your computer.

2. Try restarting your browser or computer in case it went crazy for awhile.

3. All else fails, try downloading another version of your browser.

@karan_736authorJun 07.2007 — problem has been solved although i wud like to know the explanation , i installed netscape navigator and the code worked perfect with that, so i upgraded IE6 to IE 7 and code started working , for mozzilla i jus downloaded fresh setup, installed and it was working there as well. I didnt change anything in code ,

i wonder what could be the reason, anyways thanks a lot JMRKER for suggestions
