PHP saving to a file

I am fairly new to webdevelopment and I would like to know if it is possible to have an option on my page that would allow me to save the information displayed on the screen to a file. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thnx!!!

@pctrilloauthorJun 07.2007 — #I am using a form to send an array of id numbers that retrieve information from a database. What I want to be able to save to the file is the information that I retrieve from the database.
