I am pulling my hai out! Need help!

Please, please, I am begging for help.

Need help determining the best solution.
Not computer dumb, however not an expert…

Scenario: Need to set up a website, and need the following:

-List Properties For Sale
-List Properties For Rent
-Create Log In for browsing clients
-Newsletter
-Tracking and statistics (i.e. which user clicks what page, time spent, etc)
-Ability to save a listing in a file format (PDF, Excel, WORD, others?)
-Contact Us form..
-Users to be in database of some sort, to allow for marketing to them and seeing their registration details.. Addr, phone #’s, etc. (kind of the same as newsletter)

Need help determinig the best solution and software to use…Flash? HTML?
I own CS2 Photoshop package… Quick learner, however by far a newbie when it comes to it..

Need a suggestion for a service/software/host/solution.
IF IT WAS YOU, HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT IT ALL?

Challenge: Needs to be low cost, at least for starters.

All help is appreciated.

@niconel_comJun 02.2007 — For the hair problem, I suggest you shave your head. Kidding, but try to use descriptive post topics.

Take some paper and pencil, sit down and plan your site. What you have there is a list of required functionality (good start). Based on that you can jot down what pages will be needed, what each will have to do, and so on. Planning..not coding.

Seeing you are a noob, I doubt you will be getting anywhere with Flash. To make flash do things, you will have to learn actionscript anyhow, and it does not sound like you even know html.

There is no best way. What do you know? After years working with microsoft stuff (asp.net, c#, ms sql) I am learning and moving over to php, mysql, css...all great, but that mean you have to study it first mate.


Let me know if you wnat some books / tuturials (PM me).

Otherwise you will have to pay someone to do this for you

@redhatlookJun 02.2007 — Hello MadRussian, first of all i suggest you linux hosting, because there will be running PHP+Mysql, and PHP is very popular and easy prog. language. Secondly i assume that you want something like your own eshop so you can look here and choose some free or commercial third party PHP (PHP/MySQL) script. Tracking and statistic again, the best for you is choose some 3rd party service such as Google Analytics. Make the contact form is very easy, i can help you with that later. Flash isn't the best choice for your web, because isn't search engines friendly (simply SE doesn't know what is on your site because they can't read text from images and flash is something like image), i suggest you to use flash only for purposes such as website logo or banner.
