problem with onKeyPress/onKeyDown

I have this code:

[CODE]<SCRIPT>
function tecla (e) {
if(!e) e=window.event;
key = e.keycode ? e.keycode : e.which;

if (key == 39)
{
ss.next();
e.returnValue=false;
}
else if (key == 37)
{
ss.previous();
e.returnValue=false;
}
}
</SCRIPT>[/CODE]

And for the HTML:

[CODE]<body onKeyDown=”tecla(event)”>
</body>[/CODE]

What I need is that when someone press the directional right or left key, a slideshow moves back and for.

Any Ideas?

@toicontienMay 31.2007 — Try this to get a list of keycodes:
function showKeycode() {
if (!e) {
e = window.event;
}
document.getElementById('txt_code').value = e.keycode;
}

&lt;body onkeydown="showKeycode();"&gt;

&lt;input type="text" id="txt_code" value=""&gt;

Success!
