Deleting Blank spaces in textarea on loading a page

Hi.

In my jsp page i am retrieving a field from database into a text area. While retrieving, some extra blank spaces are produced after the data in text area .. Can u suggest an onload function in javascript to eliminate those blank spaces…

Please help me out…
