Stupid printing difficulty !!

Hi friends,

A long long time I’ve begging for a help to print sample plain files directly to the client LPT1 but nobody answer my questions.

Why is so hard to access client printer port ?
I don’t want to save or view or anything else in client machine, I only need to print in his LPT1…

Basicaly, I need to print a plain text file directly to the client printer port (LPT1 or LPT2 or LPT3 or PRN, …) generated from a database in my web-server. I tried many ways such as printing directly to LPT1 at the moment I’m reading data, creating and saving the file on server then printing but nothing worked.

I’ve used ASP and JavaScript :
Objects – Scripting.FileSystemObject
Wscript.Shell

Please, can anybody help ?

@ray326May 20.2007 — I've done similar "lite" web services myself but I've never looked for them on the web. MS should have an example or two of an application that fetches web pages. That's all you really need to get started.
