Hi all!
It’s a pleasure for me to come to this forum!
I am new to JavaScript and thus I have some script which is not doing the assigned task while I believe it should.
Can someone tell me where I made the mistake?
The script is supposed to scroll a text message in the text box. The scrolling text should be: “The Webmaster of this site is: My Name”
[B]Here is the HTML and the script:
<html>
<head><title>Welcome here</title>
<script language = “Javascript”>
<!–
function scrollMsgDemo() {
var msg = “The Webmaster of this site is: My Name”
document.scrollDemo.textscroll.value = msg
msg = msg.substring(1,msg.length) + msg.substring(0,1)
setTimeout(“scrollMsgDemo()”,200)
}
//–>
</script>
</head>
<body bgcolor = “white” onLoad = “scrollMsgDemo()”>
<P>Welcome
<form name = “scrollDemo”>
<input type = “text” name = “textscroll” size = “36” value = “Loading…”><br>
</form>
</body>
</html>
