Based in UK, is .COM Okay!

Hello

New to this website stuff, looking at starting up a site. Wanted to us co.uk but it seems like when you register as a business you have to give your full details and can not hide them. But on .com’s you can add a privacy policy.

So as it will be a small business ran from home I was going for .com for a uk business, for now.

Will this really matter, or does anyone know how you get around the privacy thing on co.uk names?

Any tips would be most appreciated.
