Inserting a javascript file from javascript

suppose I have:
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”mylib.js”></script>
And because the file is too large to manage, I split it into two:
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”core.js”></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”mylib.js”></script>
However that is a chore for the user. Is there a way so that I could ‘import’ core.js from mylib.js, which means the user only has to type:
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”mylib.js”></script>
<!– mylib.js imports core.js in its first line –>
While I still get the organizational benefit of using 2 files…

Thanks…

</i>function addJavascript(jsname) {
var th = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0];
var s = document.createElement('script');
s.setAttribute('type','text/javascript');
s.setAttribute('src',jsname);
th.appendChild(s);
}

addJavascript('core.js');
