I want to make this so it preloads the images.

Thanks in advance,

<script type=”text/javascript”>
<!–

pics=[“images/bg1.jpg”,”images/bg2.jpg”,”images/bg3.jpg”,”images/bg4.jpg”]

pause=2000
num=0
function changeBg(){

if(num==pics.length){
num=0
}

document.getElementById(“mytable”).style.backgroundImage=”url(“+pics[num]+”)”

num++

setTimeout(“changeBg()”,pause)
}

// –>
</script>

@rootMay 01.2007 — to preload an image...
pics=["bg1.jpg","bg2.jpg","bg3.jpg","bg4.jpg"]
loaded = [];
for(img=0; img&lt;pics.length; img++){
loaded[img]=new Image;
loaded[img].src = "images/"+pic[img];
}

you then use loaded[num].src as the reference. If it doesnt work, I dont know what to suggest other than trying...

document.getElementById("mytable").background = loaded[num].src; or it may be document.getElementById("mytable").background.src = loaded[num].src;

The HTML property of background="img.ext" will display a repeating image in the tables background.
