How to obtain system information using Javascript

Hello guys,

i have been looking for this for a while now to the point that i dont know if it is possible or not , anyway

this is what i want to do

  • – the user will open a certain web page

  • – this page will display the following
    [
    OS : HIS operating system version
    CPU : HIS Cpu speed
    RAM :HIS total physical ram
    ]

    • that’s it

    i tried WMI in ASP.net , i tried to AJAX it but they get the information for the server in which this web page is hosted not the client system information

    can i have help on this please?

    finding the OS may be possible - look into the info used for browser identification. The navigator object seems to reflect the OS- look into the userAgent, appVersion and platform properties. I'm not exactly sure what they say for each OS.

    I can almost gaurantee that getting cpu and ram info is impossible.
