Look at my site ( www.clanknights.vze.com ) on mozilla or ie6 chances are it looks the way it is supposed to. But one friend of mine sent me an screen shot of how he sees the site. He told me his comp is messed up but it not displaying a solid black colored background is just out there not to mention ie is handling the css a lot worse then normal. You just need to see it, its so weird I mean this is xp home ie 6 + it should be displaying like mine and everyone else who runs xp and ie 6 not like it is.
@Compguy_PeteAug 04.2003 — #I have XP Pro and it looks fine... I see the black background and proper font sizes.
I would ask this does he get the animated pointer? If not I would guess for somereason your CSS is getting tossed out the window for some very odd reason.
@PeOfEoauthorAug 04.2003 — #Well its not my code its his computer I was just pointing out how its messed up. Everyone with his exact same specs views my site fine and he sees other sites all messed up too, so its definatly him I am just wondering what would cause his computer to go so out of wack? Its not actually his computer its his grandmas hes visiting her, I meant the computer he was viewing the site from is out of messed up.
@toicontienAug 04.2003 — #In most browsers, you can specify to format pages to your own style sheet. I'd check to make sure IE is set to use the style sheets it's downloading.
If all else fails, search the Net for updated video drivers, or make sure her computer has the correct drivers to begin with.
Very strange though. I've had some background color problems with IE6 WinXP before. I had the body bgcolor black (using css) and set my main content DIV to be white, and when you scrolled the page in IE, the white bg would disappear. Even stranger, when you clicked on the white bg with the scroll wheel (on my mouse you can do that), it would leave a circular "hole" in the white bg and the body background color showed through.
Just an IE bug. What I wouldn't give for a can of Raid ?
@PeOfEoauthorAug 04.2003 — #Lol computer raid, yea and when you get a nasty virus you can just take some anti-biotics. I have never seen anything like this before though its just sort of out there.
