PHP logon or Forum

can someone give me some direction here, I would like to make a Forum out of PHP and a logon out of PHP. Im using Dreamweaver MX. ANMy help here would be delightful

@pyroAug 04.2003 — Making a forum is like re-inventing the wheel. I'd use a pre-built forums, especially if you are not experienced in PHP/database programming.

@brendandonhueAug 10.2003 — A forum is extremely complicated-they contain hundreds of thousands of lines of code. All of the major forums support templates and skins, basic features such as color changes will be available in all of them.
