chmod

$file = “test.txt”;
if(is_writeable($file))
{
echo (“$file is writeable”);
}
else
{
echo (“$file is not writeable”);
}
?>

i have set chmod(“test.txt”,0666) , on localhost it shows “test.txt is writeable” , when uploading to server , it doesnt work there. it shows “test.txt is not writeable “. what should i do now???
